ARE YOU AN ASSHOLE

HAVE YOU BEEN CALLED AN ASSHOLE LATELY

If you are attempting to change your life, the chances are pretty good that you’ve been called an asshole. Change means doing things differently. Changing your schedule, your habits, your goals. Maybe even the people in your life. Change may result in you being called an asshole.

STAY THE WAY YOU ARE

Here’s a dirty secret about change. The world around you resists it. This resistance will come in many forms. You may have expected resistance from inside, such as fear or lack of motivation. What you probably didn’t see coming is resistance from your friends and family. You see, people around you are comfortable with the way you are. They may complain about you, but they are used to you. You are predictable. When you begin to do things differently it will make them uncomfortable. It can even be threatening.

DEAL WITH IT

Change is not easy. Not for you. Not for me. If change were easy, everyone would be living the life they want. Being called an asshole is just one barrier you will face. This barrier may hurt, but you can get over it. When you have identified your Core Values and are practicing Right Action, you will have the confidence and self-assurance to withstand being called an asshole.

YOU WILL NOT BE ALONE

As you move forward on your chosen path, you will find support. You will not be alone. At first, it may just be your coach. Or, it may be someone already in your life. What you will find as you move forward toward the life you want are people who share your values. People who value who you are becoming.
