WHY ARE YOU SUCH A SELFISH ASSHOLE

HAVE YOU BEEN CALLED AN ASSHOLE LATELY

If you are attempting to change your life, the chances are good. Change means doing things differently. Changing your schedule, your habits, your goals. Maybe even the people in your life. Change may result in you being called an ASSHOLE. Does this mean you are an asshole? Probably not.

STAY THE WAY YOU ARE

Here’s a dirty little secret about change. The world around you will resist it. This resistance will come in many forms. You may have expected resistance from inside, such as fear or lack of motivation. What you probably didn’t expect is resistance from your friends and family. You see, people around you are comfortable with the way you are. You are predictable. They may complain about you, but they are used to you. When you begin to do things differently it will make them uncomfortable. It can even be threatening.

DEAL WITH IT

Change is not easy. Not for you. Not for me. If change were simple, everyone would be living the life they want. Being called an asshole is just one barrier you will face. This barrier is tough, but not impassable. When you have identified your Core Values and are working to build your life around them, you are practicing Right Action. With Right Action comes the confidence to believe in what you are doing and how you are doing it. With this  confidence, you can withstand being called an asshole.

YOU WILL NOT BE ALONE

As you move forward on your chosen path, you will find support. You will not be alone. At first, it may just be your coach. Or, it may be someone already in your life. What you will find as you move forward toward the life you want are people who share your values. People who value who you are becoming.
